『聖者的行進』是日本超級王牌編劇家---野島伸司和名製作人伊藤一尋繼『高校教師』（93年）、『人間˙失格』（94年）、『未成年』（96年）之後第四度攜手合作的連續劇。這是描寫一群智障人士的成長過程的故事，演員陣容十分堅強，包括酒井法子、石田壹成、廣末涼子、安藤政信、雛形明子、松本惠等，可說是網羅了所有當紅的偶像新人。當然光是打著酒井法子和野島伸司組合的招牌，就足以吸引一大群日劇迷了。 本劇主角是一群在庇護工廠工作的智障人士，描述他們的成長經歷以及生活上的點點滴滴。由於題材較為敏感、尖銳，因此在日本播出時，即引起相當大的迴響與媒體輿論。劇中飾演這一群智障人士的有石田壹成、安藤政信、雛形明子、松本惠、渡邊慶、小林正寬，對於一向習慣當偶像的他們而言，首次飾演這種心智不健全的角色，的確是難度相當高的挑戰。因此為了演好劇中的角色，他們特地親自到殘障中心去見習，...。One day, thinking that it will make your wife and friends smile, you shave off the moustache that you have had for the last ten years. Viewers who like their conclusions tidy may rebel, but those who relish outstanding performances in the service of an intriguing idea will be entertained.
