本片是同一故事第三度重拍的版本。此片将好莱坞的背景改成今日的摇滚乐坛，男主角原是着名的摇滚乐歌手，而女主角则在小型夜总会卖艺。影片中有不少热门插曲，部分片段的镜头和表演都不俗，但整体则显得有点矫揉造作，角色欠缺真正的生命感，不过娱乐性还是维持相当水准。本片曾获奥斯卡最佳电影插曲金像奖。。末世来临时，刘世被背叛杀害却意外重生。他与不忠妻子离婚准备物资，建立末日庇护所，并救出前世救命恩人蒋云舟，共同对抗恶势力，成立绿洲组织；救助普通人，拒绝接纳前妻和富商末世中刘世坚守正义，等待新希望。。Astronomer Bill Whitley is so preoccupied with the new comet he's discovered that his time at the observatory sometimes comes at the expense of his beautiful wife, Vicky.
