It follows Lucy as she's hired to write the script for a remake of a holiday movie. She joins a tour of the grounds and when she knocks an hourglass over, she finds herself transported back in time to 1946.。讲述历史悠久﹑公立的New Amsterdam医院来了位新的医疗主任Max Goodwin（Ryan Eggold饰），只要他有决心就不容旁人拒绝的他重新改写医院的内部，为这间人手﹑资金﹑重视度皆不足的医院注入新活力及回复昔日荣誉……毕竟这可是接收上至总统下至囚犯，亦是仅有能治疗埃博拉病毒的医院。。
