本片主要讲述一个留守老人独自等待孩子回来的艰辛历程，以及人们如何在政府的关心下去照顾他、帮助他，最终帮他走出内心的阴霾世界。。瑞克是一个成功的医生，因为妻子意外死去，他成了警方怀疑的目标。警察布雷克发现瑞克一直在外面沾花惹草，对妻子不忠，认为瑞克很可能被妻子撞见奸情因而杀人灭口。瑞克为了证明自己的无辜，只能独自去寻找凶手的线索……。Charlie goes to the movie and falls in love with a girl on the screen. He goes to Keystone Studios to find her. He disrupts the shooting of a film, and a fire breaks out. Charlie is blamed, gets squirted with a firehose, and is shoved by the female star.。
