《百年巨匠》是中国第一部聚焦20世纪为中华文明作出突出贡献的大师巨匠的大型系列人物传记纪录片。由中国文学艺术界联合会、中央广播电视总台、中国艺术研究院、中国文学艺术基金会、百年巨匠（北京）文化传播有限公司等单位陆续参与主办和摄制工作。 历时两年，摄制组行程万里，完成对《百年巨匠——马识途》的全部拍摄。马识途是在1938年入党，截止到2021年中国共产党成立100周年；马老有着83年的党龄，《百年巨匠》将以影片的形式展现马老精彩的人生和非凡的创造，马识途波澜壮阔的人生跨越了中国20世纪的历史，历经中国百年的大动荡、大转折、大发展，他所见所闻，所思所感，见证了中国由弱变强的非凡历程。。In the latter half of the 19th century, gold is discovered in the Black Hills, an area which has already been allocated to the Dakota Indians as a winter reservation in a treaty.
