云与艳本来一生一旦，是粤剧界非常合拍的好拍档，但後来却因故反目，成为一对冤家。云因为嫁了富家子而息影，之後二人断绝来往；而红则因生活需要，依然做正印花旦。电视台想找云与艳一起做慈视义演，终令二人再走在一起。艳与夫关系恶劣，令她与女儿蚊关系亦紧张，女儿怪母亲不肯认父亲，令艳十分难为。而艳本身亦与一警察志交往，感情甚佳。蚊爱上了一花花公子，对方却不想与她长久在一起，终於将她抛弃，令她伤心不已。後来志被人杀死，云被情人所害沦为被告顶罪，云若要无罪获释，必须得艳之口供帮助，最後云无罪释放，并与艳和好如初。。Boarders is a high energy, coming of age comedy drama.
