This story is based where the skateboard culture is the most foreign, the Midwest. Derrick Cabrera, like all skaters, has a dream of being sponsored and one day going pro. He is an up and coming skater with all the talent but has the world against him. Parents, friends and schoolmates can't understand how Derrick has so much passion for something that has no future in their eye...。亮（吉冈秀隆饰）与家里的父亲发生了冲突，离家旅行到一个小镇，遇到了一家影院的经理活男（西田敏行饰），并留了下来工作，在影院工作的还有放映师常先生（田中邦卫饰），并认识了开咖啡店的八重子（田中裕子饰）。活男一直喜欢八重子，可惜后来终未能如愿，八重子离开了小镇。。《我们可以爱吗?》改编自小说《妈妈需要恋人》。讲述女性们所遭受的苦涩的人生，重新追求新的幸福，将于今年12月首播。。
