故事描述康熙(尔冬升饰)少年嗣位，太后(恬妮饰)急欲替其完婚，遂选纳大臣之女纳兰琼瑶(王祖贤饰)为妃，但琼瑶为争取婚姻自由离家出走，康熙亦乐得不用成婚。後康熙不耐宫中生活刻板，决定微服下江南游玩，却偶见女扮男装的琼瑶；二人结伴同游，分享在民间遇见的种种趣事…。影片主要通过原著中《食梦者》《一夜惊魂》《美美，别回头》三个小故事、围绕都市情感纠结展开，讲述了人性中的善与恶，传达牺牲小我成全大我的人文情怀。为了贴近网络受众的观影需求，本片邀请王李丹妮担任影片主演。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
