1919年，随着第一次世界大战结束，被战火蹂躏的欧洲尚未恢复元气，旨在解决战争遗留问题和奠定和平基础的巴黎和会准备召开，中国作为战胜国之一，派出了时任驻美公使、全权代表顾维钧（陈道明 饰）等五人组成的代表团参加和会。然而在欧美各国以及日本等列强意欲重新划分势力范围的大环境下，中国代表团人数遭到削减、德国在山东的利益眼看也要落入日本之手。顾维钧在会议上慷慨陈词，驳斥日方无理要求，然而公理在利益面前显得多么脆弱。顾维钧好友肖克俭（何政军 饰）之妻梅（许晴 饰）专程赶赴巴黎，寻找投身爱国工人运动的克俭。克俭在法国的活动、以及国内浩大的群众呼声令和会中的顾维钧等感受到责任重大。。外卖员杜鹏因意外激活"减肥换金"金手指，从被拜金女友金秋背叛的肥宅逆袭为首富赘婿。在花都首富林动为女儿林婉儿公开招婿的闹剧中，杜鹏误打误撞成为唯一应征者，却意外揭开林家千金"三百斤女疯子"的谣言真相——林婉儿实为可盐可甜的豪门嫡女……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
