本剧改编自因日剧「半泽直树」「下町火箭系列」而被大家所熟悉的作者池井户润的最新作品。在剧中，大泉饰演的是大型制造公司“tokiwa发动机”的中坚工薪族·君岛隼人，他虽然是干部候选人，但却对上司收购企业提出异议而被调任至地方工厂做总务部长并同时兼任了曾经是强队的tokiwa发动机橄榄球队「Astros」的总经理，该剧描绘了被降职的男人让橄榄球部再次崛起的故事。。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North.
