落魄男克雷格深陷重重债务，和三五好友借酒消愁。酒性大发之际，为还债务答应参加朋友的打赌。于是，一而再，再而三地犯下种种不可挽回的弥天大错。为了钱，他真的豁出去了。但有了钱，他还能回归以往的平静生活么。。影片讲述了1948年，济州岛的居民们听到一个令人闻风丧胆的传闻--海岸线5公里以外的所有人都将被当做暴徒无条件处死。而这个命令正是所谓帮助捍卫韩半岛安全的美军驻军下达的。岛上的老百姓不懂英语，整日人心惶惶，四处避身，靠分吃土豆果腹。三万多的村民完全不知道这些异族军官为什么要驱赶他们，而他们将会面临怎样的命运？。Thomas Arslan's second feature film and part of his Berlin-trilogy is a slow-paced milieu study of German-Turkish youth in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
