So begins his battle with himself, as he attempts to not only control his emerging demon side, but also to save the lives of others by wielding its great strength. ------------------------------...。抗日战争时期，重庆成为陪都，四川成为大后方。国民党中央势力的入川，引起各类矛盾的复杂化和激烈化川外各阶层人士蜂拥入川，亦引起不同文化的碰撞与融合。醉仙楼更替了主人。驻扎本地的川军李师长成为醉仙楼的后台老板，支持同他关系暖昧的阮秋萍，把醉仙楼变成了烟花风月的青楼。李师长不仅以此赚钱，更把这里当作拉拢权势人物的地方。阮秋萍戏花旦出身，被迫委身与李师长，特殊的境遇把她造就成为一个性格复杂的人物。虽出没污泥之中，爱国之心和善良之心并未泯灭。因而她的言行往往充满矛盾，她的举动往往同初衷相悖，造成许多喜剧性的情境。。
